His tone is utterly perfunctory. There isn't an iota of emotion in how he delivers the words. He is just reading some text, as if he were reading a page from a textbook on statistics.

What do you mean? The video you linked clearly shows him engaging the audience, telling personal stories and getting laughs.


If I were a psychoanalyst, I would say that this is a man who FEELS NOTHING for others. Who cannot even FAKE a sense of emotion in his delivery. WHO could CARE LESS about being at the commencement, or even realize the IMPORT of conveying emotion in his delivery.

Are we watching the same video? I reckon if you were a psychoanalyst you'd be broke.

...because this speech is NOT entirely ABOUT HIM. Unlike his rallies where he can feed his huge ego off the adoration of his fans -- given his complete self-involvement -- this event has no meaning for him. Therefore, he cannot imbue the words with any sense of feeling, or with any care for the man on whose behalf he is speaking.

Wow, you sound like crazy Dr. Frist, and laura ingram's lovechild.  Do you really think he is narcissistic just because people come out to hear him speak?


These are just some quick impressions. I was making coffee, and cleaning my kitchen counter as he began to speak, and I had to stop my chores to sit down and write this -- that is how shocked I was.

Even George W. Bush has more ability to feel and convey emotion than Obama.

Well I would agree if the peddlers and contributors to that site weren't able to hide their hate on that site while portraying a much more reasonable persona elsewhere on the progressive blogoshpere.

When I first went to that site I thought it more reasonable that it was because I saw familiar usernames from sites I valued.

Really, what? You were surprised that the most vitriolic sites on the internet are inhabited by Clinton supporters?

That's snark, by the way; unfortunately, only half so, but what d'you expect? That's why I come to MyDD, because the Clinton supporters around here are, by and large, reasonable, and have legitimate reasons for supporting their candidate. Sites like NoQ, Taylor Marsh, and HI44 have done those supporters and their candidate much more harm than good.

Oh, and you did know that HI44 is a click-fraud scam site, right? It really doesn't have anything to do with Clinton whatsoever, and it's a shame there's a few people around here who've gotten trapped in that and don't realize it.

RK - No real Clinton supporter hangs at that site. You can't post there to tell them they are full of sh*t precisely because it is yet another manipulative sites that care about harvesting names or getting ratings up to get revenue dollars. It's always been a fraudclick site. Sorry can't share your opinion of DailyKos.

hang out at dKos, but not at Hi44 or NQ. The latter frighten me, I must admit. Key to hanging out at Daily Kos as a Clinton supporter is: just don't mention it. I never have any problems.

So what did LatinoVoter do to get in your sig? Was it something in his/her most recent POS diary?

anyone who attempts to diagnose something via videotape and video tape alone is a fool.  I may only be a mere medical student but I have gotten that hammered into my head that you actually need to do stuff like take a history, maybe do a physical, maybe meet the patient in person, or even perform some tests like a blood panel, liver panel, urine analysis, X-Ray/CT/MRI, stress test, FANA, to have confidence in what you are saying.

SusanHu is a fraud when it comes to medicine, and should stick to what she is trained as, just like I won't pretend to be qualified to drive a semi-truck cross country...
